Yield of the course
You will be taught the requirements and guidelines for signs for roadworks, etc. on national and municipal roads.

You will gain an insight into the factors that influence the flow of traffic, road safety and the health and safety of workers in connection with road work. With this knowledge you can help increase safety - for yourself, your colleagues, and the road users.

What you will learn:

»Insights into the basic rules and legislation in this area.
»How signs are erected and markings laid out in specific cases.
»Plans for road signs, responsibilities, inspection, and maintenance as well as collaboration with the police and other authorities.
»Equipment and vehicles that may / must be used for marking.
»Signs and marking for stationary and mobile road work.
»Protection levels for road workers.
»Understanding traffic safety.

This is how the course is held
The Road as a Workplace (E) - STEP I is divided into three parts:

The first part is conducted as E-learning, where you learn the basic concepts and rules at your own pace and in a way that is adapted to your needs. The E-learning course must be completed no later than 7 days before the second part starts.

The second part is the actual course day. Here, the subject is repeated and elaborated. There will be alternation between lectures, discussions, and group assignments.

The course ends with a test. This test is the third part of the course. A certificate is issued upon passing the test.

NB: You must bring your own computer / tablet to complete the test. Please ensure you have access to your email account.

Before the course, please download the material contained in the digital course folder to be used during the course and for the test.

Participants:
The course is aimed at engineers, technicians, police, utility owners, contractors and others who are engaged in construction or operational tasks on our roads.

Special conditions
If you wish to book accommodation before the course is at your own expense. You must contact the course location yourself and make your own arrangements.

The validity of the certificate you are issued after completing the course, is 5 years from the date of issue. The certificate must be renewed before the old one expires. To renew your certificate, you will have to participate in a new The road as your workplace step I course.

E-learning is a prerequisite for participation in the course day.

Students who have not completed the E-learning module no later than 7 days prior to the course day will not be allowed to participate either in the second part (the course day) or in the final third part (the test).

If you have not completed E-learning by the 7 days before the start of the second part of the course, you are not eligible for a refund.
